Need to link a bank account or payment method? Here’s how to do it and what you need to know. So, you have different options for accounts you can link to Possible. Your Primary Account is used for applications, payments and more. It’s best to make this your main bank account where you receive paychecks. You’ll typically link to it using a service like Plaid. You can also add more accounts to use as payment methods. You don’t have to use a service like Plaid to link these, but you’re welcome to. To add a new account, tap right here. Always check first to see if your bank can be linked with Plaid. Choose ‘Link Bank with Plaid’ and follow the steps to securely connect your account. If your bank isn’t supported, that’s okay! You can still add a payment method with your debit card number or the bank routing and account number. To add a debit card, select ‘Debit Card’ and enter your card details. Paying with a debit card is fast—payments process within 24 hours, helping you reapply sooner after you pay off your loan. You can also choose to add a bank account manually by typing in your Routing and Account numbers. And just a reminder: even though you can’t use online banks like Chime as your Primary Account, you can totally use Chime (or any other payment method you choose) to make payments. It’s easy to organize your linked accounts, too. Want to change your Primary Account? Connect the new account first. Then tap the pencil icon next to the account and change your settings. For security, you may need to verify your identity when changing payment accounts. Remember, once a payment begins processing, it can’t be redirected to a different account. So, save these steps and be sure to update anything you’d like before you submit your next payment. Be sure to check out the Help Center for more information about payment methods.
